Lion & Lamb
Lion & Lamb is a Catholic children’s book club that takes the stress out of summer reading for discerning parents, grandparents, and caregivers. With carefully curated book and activity boxes designed to make age-appropriate connections to the Liturgical Calendar, Catholic teachings, and virtues, parents no longer have to worry about vetting the content of suggested summer reading book lists from the school or local library. All boxes combine summer fun and a Catholic worldview by pairing a variety of undiscovered classics and faith-nurturing books with stickers, games, family discussion questions, and more. Lion & Lamb aims to fill Catholics’ homes with quality books for children that uplift and emphasize the Catholic faith.
Meet the Spokesperson
Jessica Thornton
Content Manager, Catholic Ventures
Jessica Thornton brings decades of experience as a former first grade teacher, librarian, and long-time blogger of book reviews to her role as Content Manager at Catholic Ventures, where she curates all selections for the Lion & Lamb children’s book club. It is her experience, however, as a homeschooling Catholic mom of six, with one of her children having special needs, that gives her the best insight into what delights children. Jessica resides with her family in Texas, where she reads thousands of books to her children, herself, and to the many patrons of libraries she has worked and volunteered at through the years.
