The Catholic Church, translated as the Universal Church, is bigger than we could ever imagine. Jesus says, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” A family that prays together is the Church. A gathering of friends in the service of God is the Church. A small group Bible study is the Church. And these groups make up local parishes that worship together and serve the larger community.
